Supplier PCF evidence review

Check the context behind the carbon-footprint value.

A product carbon-footprint number cannot be assessed in isolation. Keep the product, unit, period and stated system boundary next to the value before deciding whether it fits a requirement.

01. Preserve the value and basis

Record the value, unit and reference basis together. Per-kilogram and per-item results are not interchangeable without sufficient information to justify a conversion.

02. Match the product and year

Check supplier, product identifier and reporting period. Do not silently substitute a similar part or use a prior year as though it met the current requirement.

03. Keep the declared boundary

Capture system boundary, methodology and standard when available. Flag missing context. Document review is not independent verification of the underlying calculation.

04. Review before reuse

Kohlvex’s documented default verification policy treats PCF as higher risk requiring human review. A reviewed claim must still be applicable to the specific requirement.

Worked example · Synthetic data

A declaration reports 4.72 kg CO₂e/kg for AM-778 in 2025, but the current requirement is for 2026. Keep the declaration, flag the year mismatch and request 2026 evidence. Do not estimate the missing year.
